Museum of Vancouver (MOV)

The MOV have a new exhibit promoting sustainable practices and local foods. This exhibit features many local initiatives around the Lower Mainland that its citizens have adopted to make their difference in the society.

The MOV also have a permanent exhibit of the history of Vancouver from the 1900's onwards.

One of my favorite buttons of the many on display. These were worn by protesters in the 1960's to demonstrate for gay rights, feminist movement, social movement, anti-war etc...

Stevenson ... euh ... I mean Steveston Village

We were surprised to see that they had a lot of the dry goods products and brand names that we have

Example of a fishing boat: It was tiny... and could you imagine being stuck there for weeks on end with 10 or more people?

I weighed myself on this scale and I was worth $45 of sockeye salmon back in 1952.

While the bakery was very neat, with a wood-fire oven, though this bakery only makes one type of bread.
