Stevenson ... euh ... I mean Steveston Village

Gulf of Georgia Cannery Museum: an old fish canning factory

Gill net drum

One of the first general stores at Steveston Village

We were surprised to see that they had a lot of the dry goods products and brand names that we have

Example of a fishing boat: It was tiny... and could you imagine being stuck there for weeks on end with 10 or more people?

Fairly well equipped kitchen

Dining area

Washroom: oops! didn't know someone was still in there.

Control deck

Controls to canning machine

I weighed myself on this scale and I was worth $45 of sockeye salmon back in 1952.

While the bakery was very neat, with a wood-fire oven, though this bakery only makes one type of bread.
